Troubleshooting Your Funnel Flow
Below you will see some of the more common errors you will come up against when testing your funnel. We've also provided walkthroughs on how to fix those errors and where to look to confirm things are set up correctly.
My funnel isn't loading at all
My lead didn't get sent to the thank you page after opting in
My lead isn't being put on my autoresponder list
My automated email isn't being sent
The link to download my PDF isn't working in the email
If your funnel, or capture page, isn't loading at all then it's most likely because you have not yet 'Published' your capture page. This is a simple fix. Open up your optin page in the page builder, and in the top right of the builder, make sure you have clicked on the 'Publish' button. The first time you click 'Publish,' that will make your capture page live.
My lead didn't get sent to the thank you page after opting in
If your lead is not getting sent to the thank you page, then we need to double check the form settings on your optin page. Open the optin page in the page builder, click on the Page Settings tab at the top of the sidebar control panel, and towards the bottom of that tab you will click on "Page Form Settings" In the popup, click on Form Action and confirm that the setting there is set to 'Next Funnel Step.'
My lead isn't being put on my autoresponder list
If your lead is not getting added to your autoresponder list, then most likely we haven't yet created a rule on your optin page that tells it to add leads from this funnel on to your list. Open the optin page in the page builder, click on the Page Settings tab at the top of the sidebar control panel, and towards the bottom of that tab you will click on "Page Form Settings" In the popup, click on 'Integrations' and use the Add New Rule button to add a rule that will tell the system to add leads to your list.
My automated email isn't being sent
If your lead is being added to your email list, but they are not receiving the email you set up to go out automatically, then most likely your automated campaign is not 'active.' Depending on your autoresponder this may differ. In Aweber, click on Automations -> Campaings and make sure you have an active campaign on that page.
The link to download my PDF isn't working in the email
If you are testing your email and you click on a 'download your PDF' link you created, it should link directly to the PDF file so the lead can download it. It should NOT lead them back to the capture page. If you are using a 'done for you' lead magnet, in the Market Place, the PDF links are already provided. If you are using one of your own PDF's, please make sure you follow the instructions in this training tutorial, Creating A Digital Download.
